| As far as we know, it's still on track. Get your conversational topics & tips into a digital list or mind-map. Once you start rolling, the 1 1/2 hours will flash by quickly so queue-up your contact details & words-of-wisdom well before the night. As you know, mobile phones can be a notepad for the show-n-tell as well. We had the old-school business cards and pocket notepads before the online connections. I'll flash-up a '"Last Call" reminder in a fortnight - (Mon) 13th March now that the year is in 2nd-gear. If Elsoc issues a notice and it doesn't appear here, I'll ask to share a copy of it with you. | ||

| During our Elsoc 1982 time, we typed up what happened in our mtgs over the newly written service (**) on the Unix mainframes that were linked around ElecEng. In the true time-sharing fashion, we found out the staff were mostly reading it and not the students. In many cases, constructive words would get back to us along the corridors as we were transiting between lectures, labs and tutes. Someone was always keen to hear and others to listen even though there was no response to the post. Other members in the exec preferred the captive-audience approach before the lecture started - with the lecturer's permission. I won't mention (practical) Luke Welfare as it will give him away... This seemed to be the better option over the 1984 time. Nowadays, people are numbed from the relentless drilling over social media and the company internal "busyness" channels. At times, you have to narrow your band-pass filter to interact meaningfully. Other times, you have to do it into two-stages - low-pass and high-pass.
