0INTRODUCTION
When you enter a room or meeting and before you talk, you may notice a few things. They could be the light switches, the button panels or the gadgets on stand-by. It happens instantly having an awareness of electricity.

As you may know, this can help you understand the environment before you decide on the next step for your actions. You may even recall at work in 6 years' time that they started here when you interview them.

1COMPETITION FEATURES
- Two alliances, red vs blue, of three teams each side.
- Teams have a 4-digit identifier.
- STEM focus for participants.
Answers from the information desk:
- FRC (First Robotics Competition) caters for Secondary School from 13 year olds.
- FTC (First Tech Challenge) caters for Primary to Secondary overlap
- FLL (First LEGO League) caters for 8-14 year olds

2INVITED TEAMS
There were 47 registered of the 50 places. Some were from across Australia, China, Philippines, Singapore and Taiwan. It was sponsored by Crescendo from the USA. Macquarie University was the local host.

3VOLUNTEERS
90% of the ground crew were volunteers. Different types were Judges, Referees, Robot Inspectors, Field, Score Card, Administrators, Spare Parts and Pit Area helpers. The individual teams had their Mentors, Coaches and Public relations people.

- The Sustainability Award was given to the team to indicate that the robot was made from earlier stripped down robots.
