| Since we've had the Spring Equinox today, life should rapidly gain momentum toward Christmas and its Summer Solstice. As you may know, it's the zero to "pi on two" part of the yearly sinewave. | ||

| My associated graphic is a summary of the how it flowed last Tuesday, 17th September. From the first floor, you could tell the attendees had an association with ElecEng. If I say, the line-up resembled an under-damped response to a step-input signal, you'll understand. The queue maintained it's shape and stepped about every 15-20 seconds for at-least an hour from 12:45 pm. The Elsoc crew passed the tongs & restocked the grill seamlessly like athletes passing a baton in an Olympic race. Nothing was dropped. It was a good time to interact with the undergraduates & staff that briefly appeared. Even the Head of School's face reflected the charged activity. | ||

| From the emails, a few shared and trimmed replies were: -- Carlo Manfredini -- "Thanks Rob. I'm away that week, so until next time. I like the idea of a free lunch though." -- Gregory Bell -- "Thanks for the heads up. I have been very busy caring for my aging parents and haven't had the time to ponder much else recently. I hope you manage to have some fun and don't drink too much." -- John Olip -- "Hi Rob, Thx. Currently OS, will have a look at the YT clip later." -- Matthew Brener -- "Sorry Rob, don't think I'm going to be able to make either of the dates... in and out of Sydney. Hopefully a successful handover at AGM passing down the baton!" -- Tim O'Grady -- Automated reply. "Thank you for your email. I am out of the office, returning on Monday 23 September 2024." -- Toan Phung -- "I'm here only for a few minutes to catch up with Elsoc. I have a lot of work in my office that needs to continue. See you on the day of the AGM." -- William Zhan -- "Rob, Unlikely that I'll be on campus in the coming weeks, as I'm trying to save up to go travelling next month. If I do need to F2F with my supervisor, I'll definitely try for that day (and for a free lunch!)." | ||

| If you're on or near the Kensington campus this coming Friday (27th September), and would like to see & hear the elections, come around. Stay in touch. Many current undergraduates always have questions and like to listen to stories about the working world. I'll be there too. I believe it will be from 6 pm in EE G22. | ||
