My partner volunteered my time, effort and hand-memory towards the local RSL community hall. Yes, she works in the office. They needed a higher table for their AGM and monthly meetings to see everyone's face & hands during the elections and discussions. It was to collapse into a flat pack and be stored in the office for another time. It survived the AGM with paper, hands and mugs at all ends of the raised table. As in any Engineering project, the users, the model, the live sample, the planning, the materials to be used in the set-up / pack-up, and part replacement were part of the discussion process. Here, the first principle approach saved a lot of re-work and prevented any time blow-out or frustration. All of the veterans there were 10-20 years older than me. They know what works, what doesn't and how to deliver results from their life experience. Naturally, a few stories were shared along the way. | |

With some under time pressure and out of town, Luke, myself and a field of crickets briefly sounded across the video channel last Wednesday. We covered: a) '815 Scholarship progress and possibilities b) Site Tours being tuned-in for Endeavour Energy and the Water Treatment Plants. To see how engineering processes are applied c) 40th reunion early September with a School tour in the hour or two before it d) Ctee recruitment advertisement & contact point | |
