Prof. Jinhong Yuan called a 30-minute meeting with the Almuni Ctee for Tues 9:30 am, 15th July 2025. As usual, we shared a lot over MS Teams in 45-minutes. | |

- How could the School help the Alumni? - Increased student numbers from last year. New Engineering School manager appointed. - No current staff to co-ordinate Alumni activities - How to support, plan or prepare for the 40th Reunion? - Currently getting message out over personal contacts - Need to have atleast a fortnight to confirm the numbers with the library - Organising an afternoon tea before the building tour on 1st September - Two undergaduate scholarships to roll out - one female (2026), other indigenous (2027) - Scholarship to help underprivileged to do the courses in EE&T for Electrical Engg and Telecommunications Engg disciplines. - Setting up a scholarship selection ctee - School can help the online part of the Faculty and name tags | |

"Hi Luke, and all, Thank you for sending the details and for the meeting yesterday. In the follow up, we will: 1. Book Room 102 in EE building from 3pm on Sept 5 for 40-year EET Alumni Reunion gathering. 2. The School will provide name-tags for the alumni and Afternoon Tea from 3:30pm - 4:30pm. 3. Organising the tour of the labs and building from 4:30pm - 5:30pm (Jolanta, please follow up with Phil, Roy and Shane) 4. School will reach out to the faculty and the University and find more information/contacts on alumni 5. We meet in early next month to follow up. I have cc-ed this email to our School Manager, Elizabeth Gurung Tamang, and our Faculty Senior External Engagement Manager, Vaiju Deb.
