| 1 | INTRODUCTION |
The consistent wave of graduates appeared from 6 pm. They had to navigate the many redirected Roundhouse signs to Elsoc's event as other functions were filling up. The undergraduates were slow to turn up. Many were at the the school's thesis student first presentations. It was all buzzing and sparking by 6:30 pm. The place was left in a respectable state by 7:45 pm. The ones still keen to converse strolled towards the Elsoc Common Room. | |
| 2 | WRAP-UP |
True to Elsoc's simple style, the undergraduates were allocated pink wrist bands and the graduates, blue. It made life easier for the undergraduates to approach to converse. This year, the graduates (top) outnumbered the undergraduates on the night. Inside the solid hour, the Head of School. Prof. Jinhong Yuan, welcomed the graduates back to the campus, shared the 40% increase in 2025 student numbers and encouraged undergraduates to ask questions. He also mentioned, the coming 40th Reunion of graduates for September and the LinkedIn network after graduation. | |

Prof. Jinhong Yuan called a meeting with the Alumni ctee for this morning at 11 am that lasted 20 minutes over MS Teams. Briefly, we covered: -- the number of people individually approached and how many were booked for the 40th Reunion, -- how widespread the careers had diverged from the basic ElecEng degree, -- nominated guides for the building tour - Lucy, Phil, Shane, -- current staff, from the 1980's, were approached and invited to the reunion, -- reminders to be posted soon and a week before to jog memories, -- final date to book in -- 27th August for The Lounge on the 11th Library floor. | |
