1INTRODUCTION

Last century, I saw: "A dojo with old men is a dojo with living history". Could the women / females here be a harmonic or a fundamental?

240th REUNION - WRAP-UP

The name tags created by Jolanta, School's Exec Assistant, helped to jog the memory in matching faces. The majority instantly recognised each other despite the different hair colour.

The women in the group mingled effortlessly around the room. One flew in from Western Australia for this event.

Even the ElecEng staff were electrostatically charged with the cohesiveness and fluidity of electrons from the group across the afternoon & evening.

During the afternoon, people signed the wall poster created by Luke Welfare. He was aiming to show it again at the 50th reunion. His inspired video grabs of "40 years of LIES (life) in 40 seconds" will be shared when it's compiled.

The lab tours had two groups. One led by Prof. Jinhong Yuan, current Head of School, and Roy Zeng, Lab Manager. The other group was led by Lucy Chen and Prof. Ambi, earlier Head of School.

Labs toured: High Voltage, Anechoic Chamber, Fibre Optic draw tower, Telecom Fibre classifcation and Rooftop view.

3SCHOLARSHIP ANNOUNCEMENT

Gunilla Burrowes and Luke quickly shared their story of how the scholarship idea evolved to the group on the patio at The Lounge.

In 2026, the first scholarship recipient will be a female ElecEng undergraduate.

For 2027, it will be an indigenous undergaduate.

Naturally, they will be selected by a UNSW panel with some ElecEng graduates.
