As I mentioned in the previous post, here is the official press release after their lunch. They were the first to graduate 70 years ago from ElecEng in UNSW. Their lunch was on Wednesday, 16th of April 2025. | |

These photos in this cobbled graphic were shared by Prof. Jinhong Yuan, the current Head of School (HoS) for ElecEng in UNSW. Jolanta, his Executive Assistant, used her camera. Upper centre image - Geoffrey Stutchbury, upper right - Gordon Sharpe. Prof. Julien Epps, the previous HoS, is at the other end in the group photo. If some do not know, he's progressed to be the Dean of Engineering. | |

To paraphrase from the LI post, "Reunions don't get more impressive than this! Last week we welcomed a group of UNSW Electrical Engineering alumni back to campus to celebrate their 70 year reunion! The six alumni are the surviving members of a cohort of 17 who were some of the first to graduate from our School of Electrical Engineering in 1955. Since graduating, they've kept in touch regularly and even created their own walking group, nicknamed the Wobbly Walkers, around the time they all retired more than 20 years ago. Congratulations to Geoffrey, Gordon, Graham, Barrie, Donald and Richard on your 70 years! It was great to welcome you back to UNSW to celebrate!"
